Sandbaai is the most recently developed residential area within Greater Hermanus, 117 km outside of Cape Town. The development lies at the entrance to the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley, between the sea and the slopes of the Onrust Mountains. Sandbaai is popular because of its diverse natural beauty, tranquil atmosphere, and inspiring sea and mountain views.
The Sandbaai beach is lined with rock pools and caves and offers safe swimming, snorkelling and diving. Walking trails along the Sandbaai coastline are rich with fynbos, and this is a popular spot from which to view seasonal Southern Right whales and dolphins.
Hermanus, with its varied restaurants, beaches, and village shops, is 3 km away and its harbour is convenient for boating, crayfishing and fishing. Behind Sandbaai is the small Hemel-en-Aarde village offering a variety of stores and is the first stop along the Hermanus wine route, home to wineries producing Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay wines.

- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
